The space
Black Lava Lodge is nestled at the foot of the iconic Black Lava Butte and surrounded by the newly created Sand to Snow National Monument, our home is the perfect oasis for an instant recharge. Come soak in the 360-degree views of Mount San Jacinto, the Sawtooth mountains, and the desert colors of our own flat-topped mesas.
Our quaint and cozy lodge is surrounded by beautiful boulder views and lush desert landscape while being located within 10-30 minutes from the shops and restaurants in Pioneertown, Yucca Valley, and Joshua Tree.
We have recently completed some major improvements which currently aren’t reflected in the pictures. New furniture indoor and out, all new appliances, hot tub, full house water filtration system with reverse osmosis purified water for drinking and washing veggies in the kitchen, new HVAC mini-splits added to every room in the house.

BEDROOM 3 (Bunkhouse): 2 Singles that can be pushed together for couples.
The bunkhouse is detached from the main house and does NOT have AC but does have plug-in space cooling fan and heater. Temperature does drop in the evening, but some summer days can be hot.
Bunkhouse code is ONLY provided when 4+ people book. ***Please note: If you require the bunkhouse with 4 people due to needing 4 separate beds, there is an additional fee of $50 per person, per night.
The outdoor spaces are designed for your whole group with an open concept layout. A spacious dining and seating area for entertaining and star-gazing. Outdoor amenities include a hot tub, outdoor shower, fire-pit, BBQ, and 6,000+ acres of hiking.
Upon entering the house you’ll be greeted with a bright, open concept living space. Cozy up by the fireplace and enjoy the show put on by the stars at night. The dining room features a modern dining table that comfortably seats 6 with additional seating for 2 at the bar top in the kitchen. Past the dining area, there is a lounge area for relaxing and reading by the windows while you soak up the sweeping views.

Our pricing is driven by the number of guests so please make sure that your reservation reflects the number of people in your party. Airbnb’s system assumes two people per bed and our cleaning staff schedules their days based on the number of bedrooms to be cleaned, so if you will be using additional bedrooms please be sure to let us know when you make your reservation.

• MUSIC
The speakers that you see in the back of the home are not hooked up. We do not allow speakers of any kind to be used outdoors, feel free to listen to music indoors at a moderate volume.
• KITCHEN
Since I love to cook myself, the kitchen has been thoughtfully stocked. It is recommended that you arrive before sundown in order to find the house. Otherwise, make sure that you screenshot the directions as cell service is limited once you turn off of the 62. The house is in a semi-remote location, just over .5 miles off the rural highway is on an unpaved dirt road.
